Fatima is an avid litigator with 16 years of experience in a broad area of litigation including construction claims, insurance coverage, personal injury, occupiers’ liability, professional negligence and condominium litigation. Called to the bar in 2002, Fatima has advocated in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and in the Ontario Court of Appeal on complex motions and applications. Fatima also has experience in the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal and most recently, the Condominium Appeals Tribunal. Her approach to advocacy is to formulate strategies and solutions to achieve the client’s objectives and early resolution. Fatima has extensive experience in alternative dispute resolution including mediations and informal settlement conferences. Fatima has achieved positive results in court and at tribunals for clients as well as outside of court in settlement settings.
In her free time, Fatima loves cycling, skiing and related sports and travel adventures.
Fatima earned her Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Toronto and Bachelor of Laws from Queen’s University. Fatima is member of Canadian Condominium Institute, Canadian Defence Lawyers and the Ontario Bar Association.
