Bio
Yulia is an avid litigator who passionately advocates on her clients’ behalf. She works collaboratively with her clients and adopts a conciliatory approach to ensure that her clients’ interests always prevail.
Yulia received a double B.A. (Hons.) in History and Psychology from York University in 2008, graduating with summa cum laude distinctions. She earned her J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2011.
Yulia was called to the Bar in 2012 and joined Fine & Deo in 2018. Previously, she was an associate with two prominent Toronto insurance defence litigation firms. She has gained extensive experience as a civil litigator, including acting as co-counsel on two Ontario Superior Court jury trials.
More recently, Yulia was a co-editor for the 2017 LexisNexis Canada Inc. publication of the Ontario Insurance Law & Commentary textbook and has authored several publications in Claims Canada journal. Yulia also volunteers for the OBA/OJEN Ontario Secondary School Mock Trial Program as a mock trial judge.
Yulia practices civil litigation with a primary focus on condominium law, including representing condominium clients at mediations, arbitrations, court applications and before tribunals. Yulia is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association, the Advocates Society and the Canadian Condominium Institute.
When not at work, Yulia devotes her time to her two young daughters and her husband.
